Hello JET Alumini! The Consulate-General of Japan in Portland is about to launch its annual fall recruiting drive for the JET Program. Over the next few weeks we will be visiting local colleges and universities to try to gather up a fresh new crop of future JET participants. We would love your help in spreading the word about JET by offering your experiences and impressions to next year’s prospective ALTs and CIRs. If you are interested in helping out, please check out the accompanying schedule.

The Job Panel is open to all JETAA members and friends looking at a possible career change or interested in networking. This panel of former JETs will give tips and answer questions about job searching (and graduate school). A guest from a Japanese staffing agency will be in attendance and some panel members may have other available opportunities to share with attendees. A handout of useful information will also be available to take home.
It's a great opportunity to meet some newly returned JETs, those in the local Japanese community and people from many different fields. Whether it's to find a new job, a new business connection or even a new employee – we would love to have you join us! JETAA will provide appetizers.
