By webmaster

When:  Sunday, August 16th, 2009
Where: Portland Japanese Garden

Volunteers are need to help light the pathways and to help float visitors’ candles in the Upper Pond of the Garden. Volunteers are asked to arrive at the Garden at 7pm. Parking can be difficult, so volunteers should give themselves a little extra time. Check-in is at the Admission Gate at the top of the hill.

From 7-7:30pm, volunteers will be show where their station is in the Garden and given a couple of quick instructions. The bon odori dancing begins at 8pm followed by a walk to the Upper Pond with the candles. The event ends at 9pm. Total time: 7-9pm. We still have openings for at least 12 volunteers.
