60th Annual Obukan Judo Tournament – March 19th

Obukan in Portland is celebrating its 60th annual tournament and 90th year of Judo, and are honored to announce the 60th Annual Obukan Judo Shiai & Kata / Onchi Sensei Memorial Tournament!

Portland’s Obukan Judo dojo is built on a legacy of giving back to the community by honoring the past and helping others. Their mission continues Obukan’s legacy by supporting their goal to build better communities for Portland’s youth through the study of Judo in promoting the cultural benefits as well as sport, athleticism and mutual respect. All are invited to attend the 60th annual tournament on March 19th at the PCC Cascade Campus Gym, located at 600 Nth Killingsworth St. Portland. The event will start with a Taiko demonstration at 9:00 am, followed by opening ceremonies.

Please join and support Obukan on taking the next steps in their next 90 years in helping to build communities based on the mutual respect & mutual welfare that judo teaches: strengthening the body, sharpening the mind, and developing individuals with strong moral character.
