Career Panel 2010

By President

We are excited to announce our annual Career Panel!

When: Wednesday, November 3, 6-8pm

Where: Mark Spencer Hotel (409 SW 11th Ave, Portland)

RSVP: email Career Chair Red Gillen

Note: If you are looking for a job, please make sure to let us know what type of job or industry you are interested in so we make sure to have appropriate networking contacts available at the event.

Get real-life advice and information on your job search, networking techniques, continuing education, and maybe even make the connection that lands you your next job.

We have an exciting lineup of presenters, including:

  • Scott Edwards: HR Professional and networking expert.
  • Jeff Millard:  Associate Director, Portland State University MIM (Master of International Management) Program.
  • Noah Siegel:  Director of International Relations, Portland City Mayor’s Office.
  • Doug Smith:  CFO & Partner, Inspec Group LLC.

After the informational presentations we will gather for an hour of networking with local businesspeople to learn about different industries and opportunities in Portland.  If you haven’t experienced professional networking yet, not to worry!  One of the presentations will focus on just that, so you can start applying your new knowledge immediately.  This will be a wonderful chance to reach many new contacts, and we expect that you will leave with a long to-do list of new contacts to make!

If you don’t have a business card, now is the time to go to Vistaprint and order some to hand out during the networking portion of the event — their free service takes 21 days and will arrive in time for the event.
