NW Film Center and Portland-Sapporo Sister City Association present “SAPPORO SHORTS”

When: Sunday December 14th 2014, 4pm
Where: Portland Art Museum-1219 SW Park Film
Cost: $50 per person

Join us for this fundraising event for the Portland Sapporo Sister City Association sponsored by PSSCA and the Portland Japanese Garden.

The year’s films includes Tsunematsu Hideshi’s SAY A PRAYER ON TANUKI, a charming take on father-son relationships; Masaya Matsui’s MY LIFE IN THE LUNCHBOX, about a man’s obsession with his wife’s bento; Chie Hayakawa’s NIAGARA, a captivating tale of a girl meeting her grandparents for the first time; Paul Leeming’s AN AMERICAN PIANO, an earnest tale of a young, piano-playing girl and the POWs for whom she performs, and Yantong Zhu’s MY MILK CUP COW, a delightful animated film in which a father tells his daughter too many white lies.

You will have an opportunity to meet the directors of the film festival and mingle with them over dinner at Shigezo (910 SW Salmon St.), following the films.
