Volunteers Needed for JASO Beer Garden – July 14th

By admin

The JASO Beer Garden is back and we have spots for six people to eat food and drink beer for free!

If you haven’t been in previous years, this is by far JASO’s most fun and popular event. There’s loads of traditional Japanese summer food, like yakitori and yakisoba, and all-you-can-drink beer.

Usually, it costs $30 to get in, but JETAA has the exclusive opportunity to offer FREE ADMISSION to a select group of six volunteers. Each volunteer has a small portion of the Beer Garden set aside to help out and the rest of the time free to eat, drink, and mingle. Did I mention this is a fantastic networking opportunity too? (All the heavy hitters from Portland’s Japanese business community will be there.)

We need three pairs of volunteers:

– 2 volunteers to help set up and do general tasks for the first half of the event. Arrive at 5:00pm and finish at 7:30pm. The second half of the Beer Garden is theirs to enjoy!
– 2 volunteers to help with general tasks and clean up at the end of the event. Start helping out at 7:30pm. The first half of the Beer Garden is theirs to enjoy!
– 2 volunteers to lead guests to the nijikai at Bridgeport Brewery a few blocks away.

All volunteers get FREE admission to this all-you-can-eat, all-you-can-drink event – a great opportunity to meet and connect with the Japan-related professional community in a relaxed and fun atmosphere!

If you’re interested, email Matt Turner to claim your spot. But act fast. These volunteer spots won’t last long.

See you at the Beer Garden!
