Horror in Beaverton: JETAA United Wins Second Straight

It’s getting scary out there. JETAA United is living up to their name, coming together to put winning strategies in place. JETAA United posted their second straight win Saturday with a 6-3 victory.

Amy set the tone with our first goal, then Bob Schnyder followed it up with 2 more. Later in the game Will added his 2 goals to the scoreboard. Unencumbered by body-checks into the wall this time, and assisted with a down-the-line pass from Jennifer Kikuchi, Britt Sexton also put one passed the keeper.

Tough defense never really allowed the opponents enough opportunities to score.

Later in the game, JETAA opponents were 1 player short, so Demaree unselfishly joined the team. It wasn’t enough, but it made the game more interesting, paving the way for a few well-placed goals against JETAA United.

The team departed in time to relax and prepare for something truly scary: the mother of all Halloween costume parties.

Won 9-2!

OUR FIRST WIN AS JETAA UNITED!!!

This was a great win as everyone played great together. We are finally coming together as a team. Bob got things started off with 2 quick goals in the first 3 minutes of play to set the tone. This provided the offensive thrust that the team was needing. After this, it was all downhill as Will scored 2 goals and multiple people put their shots in the back of the net.

New members Genji and George stepped up and had awesome games as well. The team is starting to play as a unit but we are still in need of players.

Lost 3-2

We're improving! It was a close match and we were down 3-0 before storming back with 2 goals. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough as time ran out.

Three new players joined us and we were short on females. If you are interested in playing, send us an email:

Debut match: Lost with great dignity 5-2

We had a great time, and everyone played very well especially considering it was our first time to play together.

We started out a bit unorganized and as a result they scored 5 goals on us. We lost 5-2, with goals from Kuma and Will. Will had the other assist, with an assist to the assist from Bob, and an assist to that pass from Sally.

Britt set a record for being body-checked into the boards with 4 (all of them from the girls on the other team).

“Iron horse” Doug Smith showed the youngsters that age means nothing on the soccer field!

Bob played keeper in the second half, and using a vertical leap of at least 12 inches, saved at least 3 goals. They didn't score on us in the second half. It was a moral victory!!!

The highlight of the game was the best GUY on the other team had a one-on-one against Sara Ogle. Sara’s nickname in high school was the “Enforcer” and that’s just what she did. In an open field tackle, she stole the ball and left the GUY at the mercy of his taunting teammates!

Afterwards, we went for a beer and a little dinner at Sanbi, next to Uwajimaya.

Everyone played great! Next game is this Sunday at 12:10 pm (check the Website for schedule).

We are still looking for players, so if you have no soccer talent (but look good in red) then you have the experience to join JETAA United.

We need a few more ladies so if you’re interested, send us an email:
