Kumoricon 2016

Celebrating fourteen years of anime and Japanese culture, Kumoricon is back for its biggest year yet! Gaining its namesake (kumori) from the Japanese word “cloudy”, we embody everything it means to live in the Pacific Northwest and love this fandom. Stretching across generations, anime fans have gathered together for an amazing annual event, rain or shine. Returning to Portland, Oregon, we are excited to bring you another wonderful anime convention designed and operated with the fans and their devotion in mind.

JETAA Portland will be hosting a panel about the JET Program on Friday from 11am-12pm and an information booth all weekend!

When: Friday – Sunday, October 28th – 30th

Time: Friday & Saturday: 8am – 2pm , Sunday: 8am – 4pm

Where: Oregon Convention Center (777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.)

Cost: $60 at the door

The Portland Chapter of JETAA (The JET Program Alumni Association) was created to serve the bonds of friendship developed by the program participants. JETAA’s purpose is to achieve, through its activities, a broader and deeper understanding between Japan and the other countries participating in the program.
